“Author” is the newest title to land as a feather in Chad’s cap. Having lived a lifetime within the digital media and production universe, most of his titles have been that of “Director, developer, or  designer.

As a 2000 graduate of University of Advancing Computer Technology (now UAT) in Tempe, Arizona, he holds a Bachelor’s in Digital Animation and Video Production, with an undergrad in Multimedia. Originally on track to be an animator, his love for programming and interface design shifted his focus toward web development. Though his skill or passion as a creator never left him, the thrill of creating through syntax soon became more than a hobby.

Early career opportunities allowed him to experience teaching game design, web development, and video production throughout New England, and he eventually landed in Northern NH as a web specialist for Garnet Hill in 2012. While working at GH, he also attended the Savannah College of Art and Design. Attending part-time to earn his MFA in Interface Design and Game Development, he stopped just shy of the degree with the tragic passing of his father in 2015.

For the next several years, he was the catalyst behind the creation and operation of Phlume MEDIA, a boutique creative service agency in Northern NH. Specializing in creative services and video production, the agency quickly grew into livestreaming NH high school sports during the COVID pandemic. The eventual closure of the business in 2024 was a difficult, but necessary decision, fueled by the need for relocation to be closer to family back on the Seacoast of Maine.

However, his expansion of knowledge within the broadcasting space led him to his current role of Director of Audio-Visual Services at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, MA. Responsible for the oversight of the entire control room, he helps fuel the creative team behind the in-arena show for the UMass Lowell River Hawks’ hockey games. IN addition to the NCAA coverage, he also helps steward the PWHL Boston Fleet and their in-arena show, along with the Massachusetts Pirates’ Indoor Football League’s broadcast and in-arena show.

As a husband and a father, Chad lives for the adventure in the real world with his family. His loving wife Jessica has been the supportive foundation for everything he does for nearly 20 years. He has four children who are very much the inspiration for the children within the Legacy of Leithu series. They have been known to travel together as a family and amusement park hop all over the Northeastern US.

As a writer, Chad is currently working on the 5-book series “The Legacy of Leithu” as his primary project. The YA fantasy fiction is in the second phase of editing and scheduled for submission to agents and publishers in the fall of 2025. Other novels in his think tank are “Me, Keith, and Carson”. It is a coming-of-age story about three 20-something friends and life in a small town in NH. Another title, Io, is a Military sci-fi set within the near future (2070) and follows the space race against an evil faction of aliens as they battle for rare elements discovered on Io.
